Ireland is one of the sought after countries for it pro-business environment. That includes its low 12.5% corporate tax, highly educated and skilled labor force. It is no wonder that Ireland is the European hub for most of the biggest MNC, including Goggle, Apple, Facebook, Intel, etc.

Every child is entitled to free, state run primary as well as post primary education. Education is conducted in English.  Every university in Ireland ranks among the top 5% universities in the world. Most importantly, most employers rank Ireland graduates No.1 in Europe.

The IIP Programme (Immigrant Investor Programme) facilitates investors to secure a Stamp 4 residency status in Ireland. This Stamp 4 allows the investor to work, study, or start his/her own business in Ireland. The IIP is the only EU programme that only upon your visa approval, then your investment follows.


Ireland Program Highlights

Ireland Investment Requirements

  • €1,000,000 to invest in new or existing Irish business for at least 3 years; or
  • €1,000,000 in approved qualifying investment funds for at least 3 years; or
  • €2,000,000 in an Irish REIT (listed on Stock Exchange) for at least 3 years; or
  • €500,000 donation – public project that benefits arts, sports, health, culture or education.

Time to Ireland Residency

Residency application will take about 4-6 months

After 5 years (1825 days of residency), you may apply for Ireland Citizenship.

Ireland Residency Process

After approval, the investor will be granted a 2 year residency permit. After the 2 years, a 3 year permit will be granted/extended and every 5 years thereafter indefinitely.

Ireland Stay Requirements

There is no need for actual residency in Ireland but you are expected to visit Ireland at least once a year.


The applicant can include their spouse, dependent children under the age of 24.

Ireland Investor Application Window

 The Immigrant Investor Programme will open for applications in 2019 as follows:

  • Window 2: 8th April 2019 – 12th April 2019
  • Window 3: 20th May 2019 – 24th May 2019
  • Window 4: 19th August 2019 – 23rd August 2019
  • Window 5: 21st October 2019 – 25th October 2019


As Ireland is the only 2 English speaking country(after England) in the EU, Ireland is a very sought after destination. Many of the applicants also are attracted by the high level of education institutions present and the education bonus given.
