As you know, EB5 has been the most popular immigration by investment program in the world. Many investors are attracted to USA’s huge market opportunities and the excellent educational institutions for their children. Residents from China, India and Vietnam are now facing longer wait periods for their visa, reflecting higher demand for the program.
A few days ago, U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has finally announced important changes to the EB5 program.
With effect from 21st November 2019, USCIS will be raising the minimum investment amount from $500,000 to $900,000 for projects that are in the targeted employment area (TEA). And the investment amount for non TEA will be raised from $1,000,000 to $1,800,000.
Many industry experts have predicted this change investment amount for quite a while as USCIS has not raised the investment amount for almost 20 years.
For investors who are sitting on the fence, this may be the perfect time to get into the program before the new changes takes place.
