Canada – Prince Edward Island (PEI) Provincial Nominee Program

(Entrepreneur Category – Work Permit Stream)

The PEI Government draws Work Permit clients from the Expression Of Interest(EOI) pool each month.  In the draw of August 20, 2020, Entrepreneur candidates with scores of 112 and above were invited to apply.
The PEIPNP allows an applicant family to move to PEI on a Work Permit, and run a local business for 1 year before applying for permanent residence status.

 

Qualifications

  1. Intend to settle in PEI, and to manage, invest in, or own a business in PEI.
  2. Make a minimum $150,000 CAD investment in a PEI business.
  3. Minimum $600,000 in Net Worth (principal applicant’s and spouse’s assets combined).
  4. Prove net worth of $600,000 CAD (loans, gifts, and inheritance cannot be used).
  5. Be between 21 and 59 years of age.
  6. Have completed at least 12 years of school (completed secondary school).
  7. Minimum 3 years (in the past 5 years) of transferable management or business ownership experience, directly managing at least 3 employees.
  8. Have basic proficiency in English or French (minimum CLB 4).
 

Canada – Nova Scotia Nominee Program

(Entrepreneur Stream)

The NSNP allows an applicant family to move to NS on a Work Permit, and run a local business for 1 year before applying for nomination and permanent residence status.  The NS Government draws Work Permit clients from the EOI pool, and invites those clients to apply.

Qualifications

  1. Intend to settle in NS, and to manage, invest in, or own a business in NS.
  2. Make a minimum $150,000 CAD investment in a NS business.
  3. Minimum $600,000 in Net Worth (principal applicant’s and spouse’s assets combined).
  4. Prove net worth of $600,000 CAD (any legal source of funds is acceptable).
  5. Be at least 21 years of age (no maximum age).
  6. Have completed at least 12 years of school (completed secondary school).
  7. Minimum 3 years (in the past 10 years) of business ownership experience (min. 33.3% ownership), or min. 5 years (in the past 10 years) of transferable senior management experience.
  8. Have basic proficiency in English or French (minimum CLB 5).

 

 

Canada – New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (Entrepreneurial Stream)

 

The NBPNP (Entrepreneurial Stream) allows experienced business owners/managers to be nominated and immigrate to New Brunswick on a Permanent Resident visa, and to own/manage a local NB business.

Qualifications

  1. Settle in NB, and to invest in, or own a business in NB (min. $250,000 investment).
  2. Create a business concept with the potential to provide economic benefit to NB.
  3. Be between 22 and 55 years of age.
  4. Have completed at least 2 years of post-secondary education (after high school).
  5. Have a minimum 3 years (in the last 5 years) of business ownership/management experience (min. 33.3% ownership); or 5 years (in the last 5 years) of senior management experience, directly managing at least 2 employees.
  6. Have basic proficiency in English or French (minimum CLB 5 in all categories).
  7. Have minimum $600,000 in Net Worth ($300,000 in liquid/unencumbered funds).
  8. Be able to document the source of funds for $600,000.
  9. Pass a security background check and medical check.
